BRICK TOWNSHIP, NJ – Ocean County Prosecutor Bradley D. Billhimer announced the arrest of John Kisch, a 57-year-old resident of Brick Township, who has been charged with Possession of Child Pornography.
The investigation began after the New Jersey State Police Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) Task Force received cyber-tips from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children regarding the uploading of child [censored]ography by an individual. The Ocean County Prosecutor’s Office High Tech Crime Unit traced the IP address associated with a residence in Brick Township, leading to the identification of Kisch. On June 13, 2023, a court-authorized search warrant was executed at Kisch’s residence, resulting in the seizure of a desktop computer. A subsequent forensic examination revealed over 100 images of child [censored]ography.
“Upon being notified of the charges against John Kisch yesterday, we immediately terminated his part-time employment with the Township of Brick,” said Brick Business Administrator Joanne Bergin.
These crimes are among the most reprehensible someone can commit as they affect innocent and vulnerable children. We have – and will – continue to hold Brick Township employees to the highest standards. If convicted of these charges, the Township fully supports prosecution to the fullest extent of the law
Kisch, who is employed as a part-time Class I Special Police Officer in Brick Township, was taken into custody and is currently held at the Ocean County Jail.
