NYC corrections officer arrested for DWI after fleeing crash

NEW YORK, NY – Police in New York City have arrested a city employee for driving while under the influence.

On Sunday, June 11 at 2:20 am, an off-duty New York City Department of Corrections officer was arrested and charged by officers from the 84th Precinct in Brooklyn.

The suspect was identified as Alex Lance, a 29-year-old male.

The charges against him include operating a motor vehicle with a blood alcohol concentration of .08 of 1%, driving while intoxicated, aggravated DWI, leaving the scene with property damage, and driving while ability impaired due to alcohol.
