OCEAN CITY, MD – On Tuesday, Ocean City Police Department responded to a reported stabbing incident around 81st Street at approximately 12:06 a.m. Upon arrival, officers found a male victim with stab wounds to his forearm and hip. Emergency medical services were on the scene, providing medical care before transferring the victim to TidalHealth Peninsula Regional. His injuries are reported as non-life-threatening.
The investigation revealed that the suspect and victim had been involved in a physical altercation on the 80th Street sidewalk. The suspect, identified as Jackson Perry, had left the scene before the arrival of the police. Subsequent investigations involved multiple interviews and surveillance footage analysis, with the Ocean City Police Department seeking public assistance in identifying Perry via social media. Perry later turned himself in on Wednesday afternoon.
18-year-old Jackson Turner Hopkins Perry, from Haymarket, VA, has been arrested in connection to the case, facing charges of first-degree assault, second-degree assault, reckless endangerment, and weapon-related charges. Following his arrest, Perry was presented before a Maryland District Court Commissioner and is currently held without bond.
