Suspect Apprehended in Fatal Stabbing of Woman in D.C. Residence

WASHINGTON, D.C. – The Washington D.C. Metro Police Department detectives have announced the arrest made in connection with a May 29th homicide within a residence located in the Unit Block of Potomac Avenue in Southeast, D.C.

Police made the discovery just before 3 pm when they found an unresponsive adult female victim with stab wounds inside a residence at the provided address. The victim was pronounced dead at the scene.

52-year-old Regina Morris of D.C. was identified as the victim.

66-year-old Reginald Jones, of D.C., was arrested on Thursday and charged with Morris’s murder. This offense was determined to be domestic in nature based on the detectives’ investigation.
