GEORGETOWN, DE – An armed robbery that occurred on Monday afternoon is currently under investigation by the Delaware State Police. The incident happened around 5:05 p.m., at a residence situated on the 26000 block of Governor Stockley Road.
Troopers reported that a 62-year-old woman was suddenly confronted by two unidentified men in her driveway after arriving home.
Armed with handguns, the duo demanded her phone and bank cards before attempting to flee in her car. However, they abandoned the car and escaped in their own vehicle, which had been parked nearby. The victim was left uninjured.
Both suspects were described as black males dressed in dark clothing.
