Two shot by juvenile during attack on SEPTA bus

PHILADELPHIA, PA – The Philadelphia Police Department and the Shooting Investigation Group are asking for the public’s assistance in a shooting incident that took place on a SEPTA Route 33 bus. The incident occurred on May 17, at 11:55 am, when a group of juveniles boarded the bus at the 20th and Diamond St stop and assaulted passengers.

During the altercation, one of the male juveniles struck a passenger with a firearm, causing it to discharge. Two 18-year-old male passengers were struck in the legs.

The group then exited the bus and fled on foot in a westbound direction on the 2100 block of Diamond St.

A description of the suspect is as follows: Black male, 14-17 years old, thin build, wearing a black and camo “Bape” brand hoodie, black sweatpants and grey sneakers.
