BUFFALO, NY – An 18-year-old Buffalo resident was sentenced to 18 years to life in prison before Erie County Court Judge Susan Eagan on Thursday morning.

On the evening of March 29, 2021, the offender and Calvin Clemons conspired to rob the victim, Trenten Jacob Sink of Lockport, who was fatally shot multiple times. Following the shooting, the offender stole Sink’s backpack and fled the scene.

Following a four-day trial that concluded on October 6, 2022, the jury found the young man guilty of Murder in the Second Degree and Robbery in the First Degree after just an hour of deliberation.

Clemons, who pled guilty to Murder in the First Degree for his involvement in the crime, was sentenced in December 2022 to serve 35 years to life in prison.
