NEW YORK, NY – The New York City Police Department is requesting public assistance in identifying a suspect involved in an assault incident that happened within the 50 Precinct. On Saturday, around 8:30 am, an unknown individual engaged in a dispute with a 58-year-old man on an MTA ‘1’ train near Broadway and West 242 Street.
The suspect displayed a knife and slashed the victim twice in his hand before fleeing the train station.
The victim received treatment at a local hospital. The NYPD describes the suspect as a male with light complexion and braids. He was last seen in a dark hooded sweatshirt, dark baseball cap, and dark pants.
