NEW YORK CITY, NY – Two separate violent incidents occurred overnight in Manhattan and the Bronx early Sunday morning.

At around 1:50 am, a 36-year-old man was shot in the courtyard of the Frederick Douglass Houses located at 120 West 104th Street. He is in stable condition at St. Luke’s Roosevelt Hospital. The unknown shooter, last seen in gray pants and a black hoodie, remains at large.

Earlier on Saturday, a 58-year-old man was slashed on the hand while on a northbound Number 1 train in the Bronx. The assault took place at the Van Cortlandt Park–242nd Street station around 8:40 am.

The victim was transported to St. Barnabas Hospital in stable condition. The suspect, wearing a Yankees cap, black hooded shirt with white lettering, black jeans, and white sneakers, fled the scene.
