Brooklyn Man Arrested and Charged with Attempted Murder

BROOKLYN, NY – 68-year-old Freddy Rodriguez was apprehended and charged last Friday, by the 77th Precinct of the New York City Police Department. Rodriguez, a resident of 1322 Bedford Avenue, Brooklyn, faces charges of attempted murder, criminal possession of a weapon: a loaded firearm, reckless endangerment, and menacing. This case remains under active investigation.

In a separate incident within the same precinct, an unidentified 37-year-old male was shot during a dispute with two unknown men on Friday, May 19.

Both men fled the scene on dark-colored mopeds after striking the victim in the shoulder and hip. The victim remains in stable condition at NYC Health and Hospitals/ Kings County.
