Woman Injured in D.C. Shooting: Police Hunt for red Nissan

WASHINGTON, D.C. – The D.C. Metro Police Department detectives are asking for help identifying and finding a vehicle linked to a shooting that happened yesterday morning in Southeast, D.C. that left a woman injured.

Shortly after 7 am, authorities were alerted to a shooting at the 800 Block of Southern Avenue. At the location, police found an adult female victim who had been shot. The victim was transported to a local hospital to receive treatment and is expected to survive.

Nearby surveillance captured the suspect’s vehicle. Police describe the vehicle as a “red or burnt orange 2012-2014 Nissan Rouge, with an unknown rear and front tag. “
