FREEHOLD, NJ – Allen Yusufov, a 37-year-old Monroe Township resident, has been charged with the Unauthorized Practice of Law and Uttering a Forged Instrument, according to the announcement made by Julia Alonso, the First Assistant Prosecutor of Monmouth County on Thursday.
Yusufov, who is licensed to practice law in New York, allegedly conducted legal services associated with four real-estate transactions from August 2020 to September 2022. The transactions took place in various counties and cities, including Manalapan, Marlboro, Ocean Township, and Hillside (Union County), and were carried out from offices located in Manalapan and Middletown.
A thorough check of records conducted by the MCPO Financial Crimes and Public Corruption Unit unveiled that Yusufov did not possess a legitimate New Jersey law license during this period. He was in possession of a forged document containing grammatical errors, falsely asserting his legal standing in New Jersey.
Yusufov was arrested peacefully yesterday and released on a complaint-summons. Future proceedings in the Monmouth County Superior Court are pending.
