Cape May, NJ – Cape May County law enforcement officials have announced the arrest of three individuals in connection with narcotics-related offenses. James O’Conner, 33, Sean Reinek, 48, and Gina McCaffery, 34, were taken into custody following an investigation into the distribution of methamphetamine.

The Cape May County Prosecutor’s Office Gangs, Guns, and Narcotics Task Force, in collaboration with other law enforcement agencies, concluded the investigation on May 23. The focus of the operation was James O’Conner, residing in the 300 West block of Pine Avenue in Wildwood, New Jersey.

On the same day, the task force, supported by the Cape May County Regional SWAT Team, Drug Enforcement Administration, Cape May County Sheriff’s Department K9 Unit, Middle Township Police Department Street Crimes Unit, and the Wildwood Police Department, executed court-authorized search warrants. The warrants covered O’Conner’s residence and vehicle in the 300 West block of Pine Avenue in Wildwood, as well as Gina McCaffery’s residence on Lafayette Avenue in the Del Haven section of Middle Township.

During the execution of these search warrants, law enforcement officials seized approximately five (5) ounces of suspected methamphetamines, two stolen motorcycles, and $1,128.00 in United States currency.

The three arrested individuals are now facing charges related to the possession and distribution of narcotics. They will go through the legal process, and further details will be released as the investigation unfolds.

Prosecutor Sutherland emphasized the importance of collaboration between law enforcement agencies in combating drug-related activities in the Cape May County area.
