BRISTOL, PA – A Bristol Borough resident, Tyler Sullivan, 30, has been charged with the death of his 4-month-old son. The charges were issued on Thursday, by Magisterial District Judge Frank W. Peranteau Sr., including criminal homicide and two counts of aggravated assault. Bail was denied, and Sullivan was transferred to the Bucks County Correctional Facility.
The Bristol Borough Police Department started the investigation on Wednesday night following an emergency call for a child in cardiac arrest at 1038 Radcliffe Street. Upon arrival, officers found the infant cold and not breathing, promptly administering CPR. The baby was later pronounced dead at Lower Bucks Hospital early Thursday.
Postmortem examinations revealed numerous injuries, including bruises and abrasions throughout the baby’s body. The doctor stated that these injuries were typical of child abuse. The investigation concluded that Sullivan had violently shaken his son at least twice on Wednesday and six times in the previous six weeks.
