LAUREL, DE – The Delaware State Police have identified Donregus Holland, a 28-year-old man from Hurlock, Maryland, as the second suspect in the April homicide of Corey Mumford, an 18-year-old Laurel resident.
The incident occurred on April 14, 2023, around 2:40 pm, when the Laurel Police Department responded to a shooting near the 100 block of Sunset Drive in Wexford Village Apartments. Upon arrival, they found Mumford suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. Despite immediate lifesaving efforts, Mumford was later pronounced dead at a local hospital.
A week later, the first suspect, Jhalir Henry, was arrested in Maryland. On Thursday, Holland was apprehended in Maryland without incident and will be extradited to Delaware to face charges of Murder First Degree, Possession of a Firearm During the Commission of a Felony, Possession of a Firearm by a Person Prohibited, and Conspiracy First Degree.
