DOYLESTOWN, PA – A domestic disturbance on the 200 block of Harvey Avenue led to the arrest of a local man on May 9, 2023. Ryan James Adams, a 49-year-old resident of Doylestown, PA, is facing multiple charges following the incident.
Police were dispatched to the location following reports of a domestic disturbance. On arrival, they encountered a situation that had escalated from a verbal argument to physical assault. Adams and the victim, whose identity has been withheld for their protection, had reportedly engaged in a heated argument which turned violent when Adams allegedly grabbed the victim by the neck, causing physical injury.
Officers arrested Adams without further incident. Following his arrest, Adams was transported to a local station where he was charged with Strangulation (F2), Simple Assault (M2), and Harassment (S).
After arraignment, bail was set at $50,000, with the condition of a 10% deposit and restrictions. Following the arraignment, Adams was remanded to Bucks County Prison to await trial.
