Guilty Verdicts Returned in Trial Against Cumberland County Man Who Assaulted Juvenile

CUMBERLAND COUNTY, PA – On Friday, a Cumberland County jury found Josiah “Ron” Becker guilty of Involuntary Deviate Sexual Intercourse – Person Less than 16, Sexual Assault, Corruption of Minors, and Indecent Assault.

The verdict arrived after a two-day trial presided over by Judge Christylee Peck. The charges against Becker arose from incidents that took place at his North Newton Township residence from February 5, 2021, to October 5, 2021.

The District Attorney’s Office has extended their appreciation to the Pennsylvania State Police for their efforts in the case, with specific commendation given to Trooper Scott Masci for his diligent investigation. The case was prosecuted by Chief Deputy District Attorney Julia Skinner and assisted by Victim Services. Becker’s sentencing is set for 9:30 a.m. on August 15, 2023.
