East Brunswick Police Departments hires new officer

East Brunswick, NJ – The East Brunswick Police Department proudly introduced its newest addition to the force on May 9, Patrolman Youssef Beshay. The 23-year-old officer brings a diverse background and a strong commitment to serving the community.

Patrolman Beshay was born in Cairo, Egypt, and immigrated to the United States in 2007. Growing up in East Brunswick, he developed a deep connection to the community.

He pursued higher education at Rutgers University, earning a bachelor’s degree in Economics. Currently, he is furthering his academic journey by pursuing a master’s degree in Cybersecurity, also at Rutgers University.

Beyond his professional pursuits, Patrolman Beshay is passionate about maintaining a healthy lifestyle. He dedicates his free time to weightlifting and training in Jiu Jitsu.

Additionally, he actively engages in volunteer work at his local church, demonstrating his commitment to serving others.

Patrolman Beshay’s law enforcement career began with the North Wildwood Police Department as a Special Law Enforcement Officer Class I. In June 2022, he graduated from the Cape May County Police Academy, paving the way for his current role as a Patrolman with the Rutgers University Police Department. With one year of law enforcement experience under his belt, Patrolman Beshay is ready to contribute his skills and knowledge to the East Brunswick Police Department.
