31-year-old arrested for weekend murder in District Heights

District Heights, MD – The Prince George’s County Police Department’s Homicide Unit has identified and charged a suspect in connection with a fatal shooting that occurred on Saturday.

The suspect has been identified as 31-year-old JC Littlejohn III of District Heights, and he is facing charges for the murder of 28-year-old Dante Williams, also from District Heights.

The incident took place on May 13, at approximately 11:50 am, when officers responded to reports of a shooting in the 6100 block of Blacksmith Drive in the unincorporated section of District Heights.

Upon arrival, they discovered the victim outside a residence, suffering from a gunshot wound. The victim was immediately transported to a nearby hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries a short time later.

Preliminary investigations conducted by the authorities have revealed that Littlejohn allegedly shot Williams during a dispute. The suspect and the victim were known to each other, according to police.

Littlejohn is now facing charges of first and second-degree murder, along with other related charges. He is currently being held in the custody of the Department of Corrections on a no-bond status.
