NEW YORK – The New York City Police Department is searching for an unknown male individual who forcibly grabbed a 33-year-old woman’s buttocks while she was traveling on a northbound #2 subway train near the Allerton Avenue station on Saturday, May 13 at around 6:30 pm.
The perpetrator then fled the train at the Nereid Avenue subway station.
The victim reported the incident to the police, and while no injuries were reported, detectives are not taking the incident lightly as groping has become rampant in the NYC subway system.
A photo of the suspect is attached and available at DCPI. The suspect is described as a male in his late 30s or early 40s, with short curly black hair, a mustache, and dark-colored eyeglasses. He was last seen wearing a black and white shirt, black jeans, and white sneakers.

The NYPD is urging anyone with information on the suspect’s whereabouts to come forward.
