NEWARK, DE – On Wednesday, the Newark Police Department’s Street Crimes Unit, along with the Delaware Department of Justice, FBI Human Trafficking Task Force, executed a search warrant at the Nice Beauty Spa located at 1164 Elkton Road.
The investigation revealed that the spa, previously denied a permit for a massage establishment by the Delaware Division of Professional Regulation, was operating illegally and offering sexual services for money.
The business was closed due to the numerous violations observed. Three individuals, believed to be victims of human trafficking, were connected with available services by the Newark Police Victim Services and the FBI Victim Services.
A male was also arrested for patronizing a prostitute and later released on a criminal summons. The Newark Police Department encourages anyone with further information to get in touch.
