Drive-thru hibachi? Yep, America has that now

EZBachi, the fast-casual Japanese teppanyaki grill, has announced the sale of three new franchises and the opening of a new corporate-owned location with the first-ever hibachi drive-thru. The brand was launched in 2020 as Arizona’s first hibachi food truck and grew quickly in popularity, earning a spot on the vendor list for Super Bowl LVII earlier this year.

Jerry Curiel, owner and founder of the restaurant, said his team worked hard over the past few months to find the best franchisees and locations for the new hibachi drive-thru. The first franchise was sold in Arizona, with a second following soon in San Antonio, Texas, and a third coming to El Paso, Texas. Meanwhile, Phoenix will host the first-ever hibachi drive-thru.

Franchise owners will receive various perks, including vendor connections, marketing tools, and ongoing support. Each franchise agreement also includes all proprietary recipes, including the brand’s famous house-made sauces.

Curiel expressed hope that potential franchise buyers would recognize the brand’s uniqueness and want to help share it with others, adding that the company is still accepting applications for new franchise partners.
