Police still searching for suspect who beat and robbed 16-year-old on MTA bus in Cypress Hills

NEW YORK, NY – Police are seeking the public’s help in identifying several individuals in connection with a robbery that took place on a Q8 MTA bus at the corner of Grant Avenue and Liberty Avenue on April 28, in Brooklyn.

The New York City Police Department reported that the victim, a 16-year-old male, was physically assaulted by four males and one female while aboard the bus. The attackers forcibly removed the victim’s Apple iPhone and Airpods, valued at approximately $1,100, before fleeing the scene.

According to police, the suspects acted in concert and began a verbal dispute with the victim before striking him about the face and body with closed fists. The victim sustained minor injuries but refused medical attention at the scene.

Police are asking for help in identifying the four male suspects, described as being between 16 and 18 years old, as well as the female suspect, who is approximately 40 years old.
