Fair Lawn Man Arrested on Drug Distribution Charges

FAIR LAWN, NJ – Bergen County Prosecutor Mark Musella recently announced the arrest of Erik A. Cruz of Fair Lawn, NJ on drug distribution charges. The arrest resulted from an investigation conducted by the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office.

On April 28, 2023, the Narcotic Task Force discovered that Cruz was transporting bulk shipments of narcotics through Bergen County. A search of Cruz’s vehicle revealed approximately 20 pounds of marijuana, one-half pound of psilocybin mushrooms, and 25 pounds of hashish.

Cruz was charged with first-degree possession with intent to distribute hashish, second-degree possession with intent to distribute marijuana, and third-degree possession with intent to distribute psilocybin mushrooms.

He was released on his own recognizance pending his first appearance in Central Judicial Processing Court in Hackensack, NJ.
