WARMINSTER TOWNSHIP, PA – On Monday, a Bucks County jury found Alfonso Sanchez guilty of first-degree murder for the 2007 killings of Lisa Diaz, 27, and Mendez Thomas, 22, in a Warminster Township apartment.

The trial began on April 24th and included testimony from several witnesses, including a surviving victim who had been wounded during the attack.

Sanchez was also found guilty of solicitation to commit murder in a plot to kill the surviving victim. The penalty phase of his trial is set to begin on Tuesday.

In addition to the murder convictions, Sanchez previously pleaded guilty to running a drug ring that smuggled Suboxone strips into the Bucks County Correctional Facility, resulting in a sentence of 10 to 40 years in prison.
