HILLSIDE, NJ – Two lucky individuals in New Jersey have become lottery winners after splitting the $319,748 Jersey Cash 5 jackpot from the Thursday, April 27 drawing.
Each ticket is now worth $159,874. The winning numbers in the draw were 07, 13, 18, 22, and 44, while the XTRA number was 05.
The New Jersey Lottery has announced that the two winning tickets were sold at the Stop & Shop #828 located at 20 Washington Ave. in Dumont, Bergen County, and the North Broad Food Mart at 1410 North Broad St. in Hillside, Union County.
Retailers at both locations will receive a bonus check of $2,000 for each winning ticket sold.
The Jersey Cash 5 is one of the many games offered by the New Jersey Lottery. It requires players to pick five numbers from 1 to 45 and then match them with the numbers drawn. The jackpot prize is awarded to players who match all five numbers correctly. The odds of winning the top prize are approximately 1 in 962,598.
The New Jersey Lottery advises winners to immediately sign the back of their tickets and contact Lottery headquarters in Trenton to validate them. The Lottery encourages all players to play responsibly and to not spend more than they can afford on lottery tickets.
