NEW YORK, NY – A NYC subway rider was the victim of an unprovoked attack at a Cyrpress Hills train station when he was stabbed with an ice pick. The attack happened at the Crescent Street train station. on Wednesday, April 19, at approximately 4:15 am.
According to the police report, an unknown individual approached two male victims, aged 38 and 43, who were standing on the northbound “J” train platform. Without warning, the suspect stabbed the 38-year-old victim in the stomach with an ice pick.
He then followed both victims with the weapon before fleeing on a northbound “J” train.
The 38-year-old victim was taken to Interfaith Medical Center for treatment and is in stable condition. The 43-year-old victim was unharmed.
The suspect is described as a male, approximately 35 years old, with a dark complexion, standing at approximately 6 feet tall, and weighing approximately 180 pounds. He was last seen wearing a gray hooded sweatshirt, gray sweatpants, and black sneakers, and carrying a white knapsack.
