Stafford EMS, Fire Dept. trains for mass causality events

STAFFORD TWP, NJ – – The members of the local fire department in Ocean Acres recently had a training session with the Stafford Township Emergency Medical Services on how to handle Mass Casualty Incidents (MCIs). During the training, the firefighters were taught about the equipment and response needed for such emergencies, including the operation of stretchers and other lifting devices carried on ambulances.

The training session, held at the Ocean Acres substation, was aimed at equipping firefighters with the necessary skills to handle MCIs, which often result in multiple injuries and require an efficient response. The firefighters were grateful to the Stafford EMS members for taking the time to train with them and equip them with the skills needed to save lives during such critical moments.

The fire department has expressed its commitment to ensuring that its members are well-equipped with the necessary skills and knowledge to handle any emergency situation that may arise. By collaborating with other emergency response teams, such as the Stafford EMS, the department is able to improve its response and effectiveness in handling emergencies in the community.
