ERIE COUNTY, NY – Nicholas D. D’Angelo, a 30-year-old former attorney from Niagara Falls, pleaded guilty on Tuesday before State Supreme Court Justice Debra Givens to four counts of Sexual Abuse in the First Degree (Class “D” violent felonies), two counts of Criminal Sexual Act in the Third Degree, and two counts of Rape in the Third Degree (Class “E” felonies). D’Angelo entered his guilty plea ahead of a jury trial scheduled for May 8, 2023.

Between August and October 2019, D’Angelo engaged in sexual conduct and sexual intercourse with a third victim on his boat at a marina in Niagara County and inside his vehicle in the City of Niagara Falls while being over 21 years of age and the victim being less than 17 years old.
As part of the plea agreement, D’Angelo agreed to surrender his license to practice law and will not reapply for a law license in the future. He will also be required to register as a sex offender. D’Angelo is scheduled to be sentenced on Thursday, July 6, 2023, at 2:00 p.m. He remains released on his own recognizance with travel restrictions.
