ANNAPOLIS, MD – An Annapolis resident recently shared with lottery officials how a stop for gas and an impulse buy changed her day for the better.
The 60-year-old caterer was feeling the stress of planning an upcoming family event when she decided to stop at the Dash In #70792 in Severn for gas. Inside, she decided to purchase a lottery ticket, hoping to win $50,000 to cover event costs.
After receiving help from other players in line at the lottery vending machine, the winner chose three Gold X50 instant tickets.
The first two were unsuccessful, but the third revealed a $50,000 match on the last line. The lucky winner was so overwhelmed with emotion that she sat in her car for 20 minutes before driving home. She plans to use the winnings to cover expenses for the upcoming family event.
