Laurel, MD – A Laurel resident has won the top prize of $57,777 in the FAST PLAY Sevens game for the fourth time, according to Maryland Lottery officials.
The lucky player purchased her $5 ticket this week at Laurel Plaza Liquors, located at 9626 Fort Meade Road in Laurel. The winner, who wishes to remain anonymous, hasn’t decided what to do with her winnings yet and said the experience still feels surreal.
The Sevens game requires players to match their numbers with one of six winning numbers. The winner found her match on the second of the three 7s that appear on the ticket. This anonymous player is the fourth person to win the top prize in the game, which went on sale in July 2022. Prizes in the game range from $57,777 to $7.
Laurel Plaza Liquors, where the winning ticket was sold, will also receive a bonus of $577.77 from the Lottery for selling the top-prize winning ticket.
