NEW YORK, NY – A man who was killed by blunt force trauma in Queens last year. Now, the NYPD says he was murdered.
Police in New York City responded to a 911 call reporting an intoxicated male on May 22, 2022, and found 58-year-old Christopher Hightower in need of medical attention at 109-32 176 Street, within the jurisdiction of the 103 Precinct in Queens.
Hightower was transported to Jamaica Hospital Medical Center by EMS, where he was pronounced dead the following day.
An investigation conducted by the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner revealed that Hightower suffered blunt force trauma to the head and torso. The incident has since been classified as a homicide, and the investigation remains ongoing.
No arrests have been made in connection with the case.
