PITTSBURGH, PA – Allegheny County Sheriff Kevin M. Kraus announced yesterday the arrest of 33-year-old Laron Robinson, a Wilkinsburg man with a history of violence against women. Robinson was wanted for a probation violation involving a 2022 case in which he pleaded guilty to strangulation and terroristic threats.

In addition, he faces an active warrant from City of Pittsburgh Police accusing him of aggravated assault, simple assault, and terroristic threats in connection with a September 2022 incident where his ex-girlfriend reported being assaulted with a knife.

Detectives from the sheriff’s office received information that Robinson was at a location in New Kensington.

They collaborated with New Kensington Police and arrested Robinson without incident at a residence on Freeport Road. Robinson was then transported to the Allegheny County Jail where he awaits further possible charges.
