NYPD seeks suspects who robbed 17-year-old aboard Bronx subway train

NEW YORK, NY – The New York City Police Department is seeking the public’s assistance in identifying two suspects connected to a robbery that occurred on a southbound 5 train near East Tremont Avenue and West Farms station on April 3.

The suspects approached a 17-year-old male victim, questioned him about gang affiliations, and demanded his belongings.

They assaulted the victim, punching him in the face and kicking his body before taking his jacket, iPhone, Air pods, and $10 in cash.

Both suspects exited the train at East Tremont Avenue and West Farms station, with the victim attempting to pursue them unsuccessfully.

The victim sustained minor injuries and was transported to NYC Health and Hospitals/Jacobi for treatment. Surveillance photos of the suspects have been released, and anyone with information is encouraged to contact the NYPD’s Crime Stoppers Hotline at 1-800-577-TIPS (8477).
