Delta Air Lines was also named the most reliable airline, with the lowest overall rate of cancellations, delays, mishandled luggage, and denied boardings. United Airlines came in second in this category.
Envoy Air was deemed the safest airline, with a low number of incidents and accidents per 100,000 flight operations, no fatalities, and fewer than 15 people injured between 2017 and 2022. The airline also has a relatively new fleet of aircraft. Spirit Airlines was named the safety runner-up.
In terms of being pet-friendly, three airlines tied for the top spot: Delta Air Lines, SkyWest Airlines, and Alaska Airlines, with no incidents reported.
JetBlue Airways was named the most comfortable airline, offering free amenities such as Wi-Fi, extra legroom, and complimentary snacks and beverages. Alaska Airlines, Southwest Airlines, Delta Air Lines, and American Airlines tied for the second position in this category.
