CAMBRIDGE, MD – Police are investigating a shooting on Douglas Street that took place over the weekend/
On Saturday, around 9:21pm, CPD officers were dispatched to the 700 block of Douglas St for a report of a shooting incident. Upon arrival, officers made contact with a male subject who had been sitting in his vehicle. The man stated that while he was sitting in the vehicle, it was shot four times. An adjacent house was also struck by gunfire.
About two hours later, a group of teens was suspected of a shooting nearby. The two incidents have not been linked together by police.
Officers were able to recover a projectile from the scene. Currently, there are no suspects identified in connection to the shooting, and the investigation is still ongoing.
CPD is asking anyone with information to contact them at 410-228-3333. Witnesses can remain anonymous. At this time, it is unknown if this shooting is related to the prior shooting on Academy St.
