MOON TWP, PA – A Powerball with Double Play ticket sold at a Pennsylvania Lottery retailer in Allegheny County has won a lucky player a cash prize of $500,000. The ticket matched five of the five balls drawn in the April 15 drawing, but not the Double Play Powerball number 15. The Sheetz store located at 9002 University Boulevard in Moon Township will receive a $500 bonus for selling the winning ticket.
As with all Pennsylvania Lottery games, winners can only be identified once the prizes are claimed and tickets validated.
At this time, the ticket has not been claimed, according to lottery officials.
Powerball winners have a one-year deadline from the drawing date to claim their prizes, and winning tickets purchased from a retailer should be signed immediately at the back.
The Powerball jackpot has rolled over to an estimated annuity value of $235 million or $125.3 million in cash for the next drawing on April 17.
