NEW YORK, NY – A man using a public bathroom in the Bronx was interrupted by a stick-wielding man threatening to rob him. Police are now searching for the suspect in that robbery and have released a photo of the suspect.
According to the NYPD, a 52-year-old male victim was robbed at approximately 10 pm on Friday, March 24, while using the public restroom near Bronx Boulevard and East 219th Street.
The victim was approached by an unknown male who displayed a wooden stick and demanded currency. The victim handed over approximately $15 to the individual, who then attempted to forcibly remove the victim’s cell phone from his hand, but was unsuccessful.

The suspect fled the scene on foot, heading northbound on Bronx Boulevard. No injuries were reported.
