Chris Christie must have been wearing a hat because he didn't get any votes in Fox News poll

TRENTON, NJ – When New Jersey Governor Chris Christie was caught in his famous meme photo sitting on the beach with his family, he boisterously defended his actions.

Days earlier, Christie closed that same public beach, Island Beach State Park to the public. While New Jerseyans were locked out, Christie and his family visited the historic Governor’s Mansion for a day of fun in the sun at the Jersey Shore.

He later defended his action, saying he “didn’t get any sun” because he was wearing a hat.

Now, running for President, Christie must be wearing a hat because he’s not getting any votes in the polls either.

In a recent Fox News Poll, Christie polled at 0% among popular Republican presidential candidates in 2024.

Two weeks ago, in a New Hampshire poll, Christie moved himself up the election ladder after polling at 1%.

When he left office, Christie had a 15% approval rating, due in part to his war against public unions, his scandals, including Beachgate and Bridgegate and his push for the controversial bail reform act.

When asked about his sagging approval, the former governor said, “I don’t care.”

“That fact is, who cares?” Christie said when asked about his waning popularity. “You guys care much more about that stuff than I do. I’ve said to you over and over and over again: Poll numbers matter when you’re running for something. When you’re not running for something, they don’t matter a bit. And I don’t care.”

Christie is determining whether or not he will run for President. He gave a 60-day window to make an announcement last week.

The biggest problem Christie has right now is nobody cares. His campaign for President doesn’t matter one bit. If poll numbers only matter when you’re running for something, Christie should be concerned over the latest polls.

Either way, the polls show that nobody cares.
