Carlisle Police Investigate Violent Robbery, Suspect Still at Large

CARLISLE, PA – Friday, at 11:37 a.m., Carlisle Police were called to the scene of a violent robbery at the intersection of S Pitt and W South Streets. According to the victim, Frederick Gibbs drove his vehicle onto the sidewalk in an attempt to hit them. Following this, Gibbs allegedly exited his vehicle and physically assaulted the victim by pushing them to the ground.

Afterward, Gibbs took the victim’s cell phone before fleeing the scene.

A warrant has been issued for Frederick Gibbs on charges of robbery, aggravated assault, and theft. Carlisle Police are actively searching for Gibbs and are urging anyone with information regarding his whereabouts to contact the Carlisle Police Department (OFC R Mennor) or submit a tip through their Crimewatch page.
