West Homestead Man Arrested for Motorsports Burglary

ROSTRAVER TOWNSHIP, PA – Pennsylvania State Police and Westmoreland County District Attorney Nicole W. Ziccarelli announced the arrest of Bryan Salaj, a West Homestead resident, in connection with the March 2019 burglary of Triple A Motorsports on Route 51.

Salaj faces criminal charges of burglary and theft for his involvement in the crime.

Rostraver Township Police reported that several unknown actors, including Salaj, arrived at Triple A Motorsports in a U-Haul box truck.

They smashed the entrance door and stole five motorcycles from the premises. The suspects loaded the motorcycles into the U-Haul and fled toward Route 51 North.

Salaj was identified early in the investigation through surveillance footage from a Sheetz in Pittsburgh, where he was seen operating the U-Haul box truck just prior to the theft.

He was interviewed by state troopers in March 2019 and admitted to committing the burglary alongside several other individuals.

Karon Smith has also been charged in connection with the Triple A Motorsports burglary and several other burglary and theft cases that occurred in multiple areas throughout southwestern Pennsylvania. Salaj is currently being held at the Westmoreland County Prison and has been denied bail.
