Burglary suspects sought in Newport

NEWPORT, VA – Detectives in Newport are asking the public to help identify suspects wanted for a robbery in January.

On January 25, 2023, at around 2 a.m., two suspects forcibly entered a business on the 15200 block of Warwick Boulevard and stole a computer, power tools, and an undisclosed amount of cash. Officers were dispatched to the scene, and an investigation was initiated. The first suspect is described as a Black male, balding with facial hair, wearing a light-colored hoodie under a dark zip-up jacket, dark pants, and dark shoes.

The second suspect is described as a Black male with facial hair, wearing a green camo shirt or jacket under a black jacket, with dark pants, black and white shoes, and a hat with a blue or purple brim.

Detectives ask anyone with information about the suspects or the incident to contact the anonymous Crime Line by calling 1-888-LOCK-U-UP or submitting a tip online at P3Tips.com. Tipsters never have to testify in court and could be eligible for a reward of up to $1,500 for tips leading to an arrest.
