Residential building struck by gunfire in Bronx shooting

NEW YORK CITY, NY – The New York City Police Department is asking for the public’s assistance in identifying two male individuals involved in an attempted assault that occurred on Monday, in the vicinity of Andrews Avenue South and West Burnside Avenue in the Bronx.

According to police reports, the suspects were riding a blue moped when they approached two males walking.

One of the suspects displayed a firearm and fired multiple shots toward an individual running across the street, who then fired back.

A discharged round entered a nearby residential building, causing property damage, but no injuries were reported.

The police have released photos of the suspects and urge anyone with information about their identities to call the NYPD’s Crime Stoppers Hotline at 1-800-577-TIPS (8477) or log onto the Crime Stoppers website.
