ALLENTOWN, PA – Two juvenile suspects were arrested following a vehicle theft, a high-speed chase, and unlawful entry into a residence on Tuesday. Members of the Allentown Police Department responded to a report of a stolen vehicle in the 700 block of N 10th Street. An officer spotted the stolen vehicle in the 1200 block of Early Street and attempted to perform a traffic stop.
The driver of the stolen vehicle backed into the officer’s car and sped off, later striking another occupied Allentown Police car in the 1400 block of Gordon Street. The vehicle continued fleeing from officers and came to a stop in the 1500 block of Warren Street, where the occupants fled on foot.
Officers received information that the two individuals unlawfully entered a residence in the 1500 block of Gordon. Law enforcement made contact at the residence and located the juvenile suspects, who were taken into custody without incident. Two Allentown Police Officers were transported to a local hospital for injuries sustained during the incident. Both officers were treated and released from the hospital later in the day.
The juvenile suspects in this incident have been charged with multiple offenses, including aggravated assault, simple assault, theft, receiving stolen property, unauthorized use of a motor vehicle, fleeing and eluding a police officer, reckless endangerment, and criminal trespass. The investigation remains active and ongoing, and further information will be released as it becomes available.
