Chris Christie says he will whack Trump like a game of "Whack-A-Mole"

MORRISTOWN, NJ – Former New Jersey Governor Chris Christie continues polling in the 0-1% range in 2024 presidential election polls and remains fixated on former President Donald J. Trump.

Christie, who has been campaigning for the nomination in 2024 since his dismal performance in 2016 has focused all of his public appearances on the former President and hasn’t provided Americans with a single bullet point of his agenda, except that he’s no longer living in Trump’s shadow. Instead, he likened his strategy against Trump to a game of whack-a-mole.

And he has become so fixated on the former President that he doesn’t realize the damage he’s doing to himself.

Christie has become like the jealous ex-girlfriend, still talking about her boyfriend eight years after the breakup.

He uses his gig as an ABC correspondent to get his anti-Trump message across whenever he can. This weekend, he directed Trump’s Mar-A-Lago speech after being indicted by Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg.

“And so, what’s going to happen here with Trump is that his act is going to remain the same,” Christie said of the speech. “That sounded to me like a guy that you’d encounter in a bar who you’d wind up sitting next to, and he’s griping to you about his bad divorce.”

It seems almost as if Christie is deflecting as he continues to poll at the bottom of the barrel.

Christie said Trump, who is leading all other candidates by a large majority in most polls, is going to suffer during the primary process.

“And that is going to be his problem when the primary comes because the smart primary candidate will be talking about the future and ignoring Donald Trump, except for when he pops up,” Christie said. “And then, like whack-a-mole, you hit him down.”

The only problem is Christie is in the same rut as Trump. He’s become fixated on the former President and has not spoken about his future plans. The only difference is Christie is still polling at around 0% while Trump is polling near 50%.
