NEW YORK, NY – Today, Darius A. Paduch, a New York-area urologist, has been charged with inducing a person to travel to engage in unlawful sexual activity and inducing a minor to engage in unlawful sexual activity for his years-long sexual abuse of two victims who were his patients and minors during part of the abuse.
The four-count indictment was unsealed today, and Paduch was arrested and presented before U.S. Magistrate Judge Sarah L. Cave.
U.S. Attorney Damian Williams said that Paduch abused the trust of patients, including minors, who saw him for sensitive medical problems.
Paduch took advantage of his victims for his own deviant satisfaction, court records show.
Paduch, 55, of North Bergen, New Jersey, faces a maximum sentence of 20 years in prison for each charge involving inducement of a victim to travel to engage in unlawful sexual activity and a mandatory minimum sentence of 10 years in prison and a maximum sentence of life in prison for each charge involving inducement of a minor to engage in unlawful sexual activity.
