NEW YORK, NY – The New York City Police Department is seeking the public’s assistance in identifying seven individuals involved in an anti-gay assault that occurred within the Midtown North Precinct.
On Wednesday, at around 11:30 PM, a 44-year-old man was approached by the group in front of 610 10th Avenue. The assailants made anti-gay remarks before punching, kicking, and stabbing the victim in the thigh. The suspects fled eastbound on 44th Street and southbound on 9th Avenue.
The victim was taken to Mount Sinai West for treatment, and the Hate Crimes Task Force is investigating the incident.
At this time, no arrests have been made.
