NEW YORK, NY – Police officers with the NYPD’s 113th Precinct responding to a 911 call regarding a shooting in the St. Albans section of Queens early Sunday morning located a male gunshot victim.
The 23-year-old man was lying in a pool of blood on the ground in front of 126-19 Merrick Boulevard by police at around 2 am.
Detectives reported the man was shot multiple times in the torso and was unresponsive and unconscious when they arrived.
EMS transported the victim to Jamaica Hospital Medical Center, where he was pronounced deceased shortly afterward.
At this time, no suspects have been identified, and no arrests have been made. Police are actively investigating the incident as a homicide.
The identity of the deceased is pending proper family notification.
