FRANKLIN TWP., N.J. – In a recent development, Somerset County Prosecutor John P. McDonald announced the arrest of 37-year-old Ryan Gaboff of Millstone, New Jersey, in connection with a bank robbery that occurred on Route 27 in Franklin Township on August 22, 2022. The robbery involved a male suspect entering the bank and demanding money from multiple bank tellers before escaping on a motorcycle.
Investigators from the Somerset County Prosecutor’s Office Major Crimes Unit, along with detectives from the Franklin Township Police Department, responded to the scene to conduct an extensive investigation. They were assisted by agents from the FBI Newark – Franklin Township Resident Agency Office. The investigation revealed evidence that implicated Ryan Gaboff as a co-conspirator in the robbery, working alongside his brother, Michael Gaboff.
Previously, on December 2, 2022, Michael Gaboff was arrested in Ocean, New Jersey, and charged with 2nd degree Robbery and 2nd degree Conspiracy to Commit Robbery. Other family members were also arrested on charges of Hindering.
Ryan Gaboff voluntarily surrendered to the Somerset County Prosecutor’s Office on April 4, 2023. He was subsequently arrested and charged with 2nd degree Robbery and 2nd degree Conspiracy to Commit Robbery. He is currently being held in the Somerset County Jail pending a court hearing.
