BRONX, NY – A homeless woman was run over and killed in the Bronx last July by a driver that fled the scene. Today, police announced the arrest of 35-year-old Dean Moflehi, of the Bronx as the driver in that incident.
26-year-old Jessica Brown, a homeless woman was struck and killed while walking along West Farms Road in the Bronx on July 1, 2022.
New York City Police officers arriving at the scene found Ms. Brown unconscious and unresponsive, lying in the roadway with severe body trauma.
“EMS responded to the location and transported the victim to Saint Barnabas Hospital, where she was pronounced deceased,” the NYPD said at the time of the incident.
An investigation by the NYPD Highway District’s Collision Investigation Squad determined the female attempted to cross West Farms Road and was struck by a white van traveling southbound on West Farms Road at a high rate of speed.
